Miga Rossetti and Chris Hansen moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in the mid 90's and found everything they loved in the Tetons. Well, almost. They, like so many of their neighbors as well as travelers to Jackson, were hankering for classic, feel-good food. Simply put: great pizza.
Miga’s introduction to Napoletana pizza came early, during a family summer in Italy with relatives, and many years later, she was able to share her love of this great traditional pizza with Chris, who fell for it on their honeymoon in Tuscany. In 2010 Chris dove deep into pizza dough experimentation. After more than a year of improving and sharing with friends, the perfect high altitude pizza recipe was born.
In 2011, the couple committed to serving world-class pizza in Jackson Hole. Since then, Pizzeria Caldera has been serving true Napoletana-style pizza to people from all over the world—the thousands of tourists who come for the clean air, sports and majesty of the mountains, which in turn fires up their appetites for five-star comfort food. After falling in love with Pizzeria Caldera’s superior crust and unique toppings, like bison or elk sausage, customers enquired about having its pizza shipped back to their homes. But that was impossible—until now.
Covid-19 may have pulled the plug on many long-planned summer getaways to the Jackson valley, but it didn't crush anyone's craving for great pizza. As a result, shipping enquiries soared.
